René Valdés Alonso was my grandfather. He wrote a memoir and distributed it to our family in 2003, without officially publishing the work. I am in the process of re-digitizing, editing, and compiling his memoir, with accessible English and Spanish all in one. This is a huge project, and I am so excited to share it with you all!
